| Abstract |
The article focuses on current situation with IT in American higher education. It analyses the data available in contemporary sources related to informatization of American education. It studies the usage such facilities in education as Internet, distance learning, e-books, specialized local databases, e-libraries. The tendency to increase of requirement of the population in remote formation is marked. Ways of granting of the educational information with application of an information technology are analysed.
